One the most popular stalls at our Penarth and Rhiwbina events this year was run by Aquila Cook of Love & Lovelier. Quil is no stranger to a Little Otter Market lineup and her sustained popularity is testament to her creative talent; she continuously develops new products and brings out different versions of her best sellers every year.
If you missed out on seeing her 2018 range at our markets, I have listed below where Quil will be in the run up to Christmas. Check out her directory page for information on how to get in touch with her, and to discover the story behind Love &Lovelier Ceramics.
In the meantime, read on to find out how she spends her Christmas and what she is currently working on .....
What are you working on at the moment Quil?
I'm busy making custom orders at this time of year. As everyone starts thinking about the presents they want to get I get lots of bespoke requests, like the koala ( see above).
Are you attending any other markets?
Yes I am! I have Dwr Y Felin Comprehensive school this coming Thursday evening, Etsy Made Local Swansea on Saturday (1st Dec), Etsy Made Local Cardiff on Sunday (2nd Dec), Caerphilly Christmas Market on the weekend 8th/9th Dec and lastly I'm at the Norwegian Church in Cardiff Bay on Tuesday 11th Dec. Phew!
How do you spend Christmas?
At home with family. I start decorating the house mid December once all the fairs are done. Elf on Shelf comes from 1st December onwards and adds to the excitement levels in my kids!
What is your favourite thing about Christmas?
Two things: That feeling of magic when the kids believe; and lots of fairy lights and candles everywhere.
What's your favourite Christmas song?
Silent night, without a doubt! So peaceful and joyful which is what I wish for every year.
