Well look at that...as well as a National Pet month, apparently today is National Pet Day! National Pet Day was founded in 2006 by Animal Welfare Advocate Colleen Paige, to celebrate the joy pets bring to our lives and to create public awareness about the plight of many different kinds of animals awaiting a forever home in shelters and rescues all around the globe.
One very lucky boy who found his forever home is Olly, the Jack Russell who lives with maker Aquila Cook and her family. I asked Quil to tell us about nine year old Olly and how life has been since this gorgeous guy arrived.
When did you first get Olly?
We got him about two and half years ago from a friend.
How has he fitted in to family life?
He is the most chilled out and tolerant dog. He just fits in!
What is his favourite food?
He gets sneaky cake crumbs sometimes.
What's been the biggest challenge?
No challenges with Olly. This is my third dog and the first one with no ‘issues’!
What is naughtiest/most embarrassing thing your dog has done?
He once peed in someone’s shoe.
Any advice for anyone looking to get a pet?
Research research research so you and pet will be a good fit.
